Collection Appraisal
The Museum of Games Ireland provides a service to value your collection, or the collection of a loved one, for insurance purposes, or if you are planning onward sale. We are happy to review the collection and offer a free quote for the valuation, which will depend on the nature, quantity, and condition of the games (e.g., it is a lot less time-consuming to value 10 board games than it is to value 500 Magic: the Gathering cards!).
We are also happy to provide this service for the collection of a deceased friend or relative and will do so with utmost respect and compassion, and allow whatever time you need to process parting with the games. We are also happy to take the games into the collection in memory of your loved one, if that is your preferred option.
In some cases, depending on the nature of the collection, we can also provide an onward sale of the collection, or parts of the collection, through 3rd party sellers like eBay or card market (such sellers are subject to their own commission rates, which will come off the net value of the sales). Again, the Museum’s commission will depend on the nature of the collection, but we are happy to discuss at no cost.
